Magento Open Source and Mage-OS

Magento accounting integration

CartSpan® connects Magento to QuickBooks Desktop or Sage 50 U.S.: orders in on their own, bundles and extensions included, stock and prices back to Magento. There’s no Magento extension to install.

  • No Magento extension
  • Magento Open Source 2.4, latest release
  • Mage-OS
  • Orders as often as every 15 min
  • $495, then $299 a year from year two
  • Any number of orders
  • Stock updates included

How it connects

Two small scripts, not an extension.

  • Two small scripts on your web server: one reads orders from Magento’s database, the other writes stock and prices. They answer CartSpan only.
  • Nothing joins your Magento module list, so a Magento upgrade doesn’t wait on a connector extension.
  • Built for Magento Open Source 2.x and Mage-OS on a server you control. Not offered for Adobe Commerce.
  • Stock, price and special price go back to Magento; stock respects Manage Stock, Out-of-Stock Threshold and Backorders.

What it reads

Magento’s hard orders, handled.

  • Fixed-price bundles split across their parts by list price; dynamic bundles at each part’s price
  • The configurable child SKU the customer chose, at the price paid
  • Reward points, store credit and fees from common extensions, found without setup
  • Amazon and eBay orders that arrive through M2E Pro, labeled by marketplace
  • All store views, or only the ones you pick

The full list of extensions is on each Magento page below.

Questions

Magento questions.

All questions →

Do I need to install a Magento extension?

No. Two small scripts on your web server answer CartSpan only. Your Magento module list doesn’t change.

Which Magento versions work?

Magento Open Source 2.x, including the latest release, and the latest Mage-OS, the community edition built on the same code. Tell us your PHP version and we’ll supply scripts built for it.

Does it work with Adobe Commerce?

No. CartSpan is built for Magento Open Source and Mage-OS on a server you control. It isn’t offered for Adobe Commerce, Adobe’s paid edition.

What about QuickBooks Pro or Premier?

They also need a read-only QODBC license, $149 per user a year (FLEXquarters, checked October 13, 2026). Enterprise includes it; Sage 50 doesn’t need it.
